"Victory" was traditionally applied to warfare:
Pyrhhic victory = a victory that carried such a devastating cost that another one like it would surely lead to defeat.
campaign victory = strategic victory = an overall victory in a large scale effort of significant duration.
tactical victory = a victory a particular implemented set of actual means that were used to gain an objective
(an objective is only a part of the overall strategy).
The above could be used in non-warfare settings.
Obviously, many other adjectives could be used: heroic, overwhelming, thrilling, tremendous, decisive, hollow, and many more.
