How do you operate the headlights and twilight sentinel in a 1992 buick park avenue?

The manual control of the head lights are on the door. With the twilight sentinel, the lights are controlled automatically when it gets dark. This function is disabled if the slide switch is in the MIN position. The slide switch controls how long the lights will stay on after you turn off your engine. This will range up to three minutes in the MAX position.
