The most effective diet is actually a lifestyle change. Most important things to remember are: 1 Always eat within 10 minutes of waking up (even if it's only a yogurt cup), this will boost your metabolism up to five times! 2 Work out in the AM. When you work out before bed, you are only burning calories you ate all day..work outs in the morning you are burning stored fat! 3 Never eat within 2-3 hours before bed. IF you are hungry, drink water. This applies all day as well. Water is very filling and has no calories. 4 As the day progresses, your meals should become smaller. Not just portion size but by grams of fat, sugar and calories. Eat a large breakfast, smaller lunch, tiny dinner and definitely eat in betweeneach meal as this will also boost your metabolism. 5 You are welcome to eat sweets (there is a reason it is on the food pyramid guide). Keep in mind the nutritional values of what you are eating and the portion size.
