Are irises hard to grow

Irises have two forms of reproduction:

1. Asexual reproduction is an efficient multiplication of the root or rhizomes.
2. Sexual reproduction is the form used to ensure variability and adaptation in the species.

For an iris seed, it may take 18 months for them to germinate. They need a moist and cold treatment. Once they do germinate, you might have flowers by their 2nd season.
