You received a W2 for 1000.00 Do you have to show it?

A copy of it is on file at the IRS, so they know about the income. If you have other income, this needs to be reported too. There are no exclusions for "to little to include". If i'ts all the income you have, your not going to pay tax anyway, but you may well get benefits for low earners, and if any money was withheld on that same W2, you will get that refunded...so you want to file. What do you think...if the IRS says you don't have to file...who is that going to be better for? You or them?
