How many types of snakes found in Iraq?

"6..... 5 vipers and 1 cobra. ALL SNAKES IN Iraq ARE VENMOUS" was the original reply, which is absolutely incorrect. In fact, if you search the internet, you will find several websites (mostly forums whose answers are from non-medical personnel) claiming that all snakes in Iraq are venomous.

The first portion of this answer is almost correct. However, the question doesn't ask how many are native to Iraq, it simply asks how many are found in Iraq. Therefore, six types of venomous snakes are native to Iraq, and an unknown number of other species have been reported.
