Is there eveidence for rebirth and do animals take rebirth?

As such, there is no evidence of the law of gravity, but we infer that such a law exists because when we throw something up in the sky, it doesn't fly away, it comes back. Therefore, we believe, we infer that the law of gravity exists. So also, we infer that rebirth happens because we see that a person who was alive dies, the body dies, and the person leaves the body. Where does the person go? Then we see a new baby is born. Where does the person come from? Therefore, the inference is that the one who goes is the one who comes. We infer just like there is sunset and sunrise, just like there is the law of rotation and revolution, there seems to be a cycle of human life, human death and rebirth and we know it by inference.
