1. Regular medications may need to be adjusted for clients with chronic conditions such as Diabetes or hypertension.
2. Vital patients quit smoking all substances prior to surgery.
3. Medications, such as aspirin/anticoagulants may need to be ceased or adjusted prior to surgery.
3. Alcohol not to consumed in the postoperative period.
4. Patient needs to be aware to take precautions for 2-3 days following general anaesthesia as cognitive state may be impaired.
