Flora MacDonald was a Scottish heroine born in 1722 who is best known for helping Prince Charles Edward Stuart escape after the Battle of Culloden in 1746. She bravely disguised him as her serving maid to protect him from capture. Flora was also known for her strong spirit and courage, earning her a place in Scottish history. Later in life, she moved to North Carolina, where she continued to be admired for her adventurous life.
