I imagine it depends on the species but black bears can live as long as 23 years in the wild. Their chances of reaching that age are pretty slim though. Survival rates of juveniles and sub-adults are generally less than 50%. Adult bears have an annual survival rate of 50 - 80%, depending on the location.
