What do you do to get a shiny Charmander in leafgreen?

There are two ways. 1. Save before choosing your Pokemon and keep choosing until it's shiny. You can't tell from the picture it shows when you choose the Pokeball though, you'll have to see when you get to the rival battle. Or. 2. Once you unlock the Sevii Islands go to the island with the daycare and put into two Charizards, one male and one female, or a Charizard and a Ditto and keep hatching the eggs that you get. it actually has to be a shiny ditto or it wont work it will just be a normal charmander btw there is -exactly- 1 in 8124 chance of getting a shiny charmander so dont get your hopes up the best way is to get a SHINY ditto and breeding it with a charizard -BillyDuong
