How do you beat the eating the salad mini game on Wimpy Wonderland island?

you just gotta keep on pressing the mouse as fast as you can while being able to read what grandpa says to you. but in case you cant read what he says it really isn't very important. all he talks about is his life and apartment. I've beaten it before without reading what he says.
