Most of that depends on how bad it is. There are chances of causing additional damage as well. If it has just started to slip in high gear, who could drive in lower gears to get the auto to a repair center. If there is extra vibration coming from this issue do not drive the auto, that will most likely add to the cost. Just applying it in any case could cause fly wheel damage.
