How does cooling fins on a motorbike engine lose heat?

It's called heat exchange.. air conditioning and liquid coolant systems work the same way. The air passes through the fins, and the heat from whatever's in that apparatus (refrigerant, antifreeze, or it could just heat from the engine, period) gets exchanged to the ambient air.
