Could you catch lapras in Pokemon Emerald?

Oh honey, in Pokemon Emerald, you can't catch Lapras in the wild. You'll have to trade with someone from FireRed or LeafGreen to get that majestic sea creature. So, if you want a Lapras in your team, you better start making some friends or fire up that Game Boy Advance link cable!
