How can sea animals survive with high pressure?

I believe it's do to the fact that they have no gas inside their body. We cannot survive because the gas inside us becomes crushed by the extreme pressure, due to the fact that gas had no defined volume. Liquid does however so it creates an equilibrium. I believe
