What does the Rolls-Royce car logo mean?

Logo used since 1911 is a stacked double R "RR" meaning Rolls Royce. The mascot

associated with the car is a woman with her arms spread behind her, known as "The Spirit of Ecstasy" or "Flying Lady". The mascot was originally used as the radiator cap, later became the hood ornament.
