Why is there no fire on Murray riding mower?

A. Could be the armature or the key switch. There should be a wire to unplug that will isolate the engine from the frame to begin to troubleshoot.

B. Ive found that the starter wire gets loose after use. Open the hood. Look for the black colored cylinder about 3 inches round and 9 inches high next to the motor. It will have a gear sprocket out of the top that turns the motor when power from the ignition gets to it. Check the looseness of the wires bolted to it and tighten them down. This worked for me after trouble shooting. Also make sure you did not blow any of the fuses.
