How do you tow a motorcycle trailer safely behind a motorcycle?

I tow a cargo only trailer behind my motorcycle from my experience lower speeds and advanced braking are two key issues that should be practiced when towing any trailer behind a motorcycle. Size and weight of the trailer being towed will be a deciding factor and the best advice I can give is "pull your trailer on short easy trips until you are confident in your ability to deal with the extra length, width and weight.
