Do animals experience fear

Sure they do, not in the emotional way that humans do. Their fear is usually short lived like when they are startled or surprised. There are some animals who have been abused that will cower at some actions like a raised hand or a sharp sound. This reaction had been conditioned in the animal from repeated abuse.
