What skin condition did Jean Paul Marat have?

Josef E. Jelinek has given a very late diagnosis of dermatitis herpetiformis to Jean-Paul Marat, who had it in the last 3 years of his life. He was assassinated by Charlotte Corday on July 13th, 1793.
