When did de Luna land in Pensacola?

Tristán de Luna y Arellano landed in Pensacola on August 15, 1559. He was the commander of a Spanish expedition aiming to establish a settlement in the region. However, due to various challenges, including storms and conflicts with Indigenous peoples, the settlement ultimately struggled to thrive and was abandoned shortly thereafter.
