Welcome to the wonderful world of non-fiction vampire books!
There are hundreds of contributions to this field, but a few I recommend to start you off are Paul Barber's Vampires, Burial, and Death: Folklore and Reality (1988), J. Gordon Melton's The Vampire Book: Encyclopedia of the Undead(1994/1999/2010), Nina Auerbach's Our Vampires, Ourselves(1995) and Jan Louis Perkowski's Vampire Lore: From the Writings of Jan Louis Perkowski (2006).
The majority of vampire works concern themselves with film and literature. I suggest you also look up "vampires" as a subject heading in your local (or state/national) library catalogue for others.
