Is Brandon mychal smith a Christian?

He was on ESPN FirstTake w Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith saying that he's a born again evangelical Christian. He was quoting Scripture off the cuff. Sounds like he certainly has had a spiritual conversion of the evangelical Christian kind.
