Where does polyster fleece come from?

Polyester fleece is made from polyester fibers, which are derived from petrochemicals. The process begins with the extraction of oil, which is then refined into ethylene and further processed to create polyethylene terephthalate (PET). This PET is melted and spun into fibers, which are then brushed to create the soft, fluffy texture characteristic of fleece fabric. The resulting material is lightweight, warm, and often used in clothing and blankets.
