To many people, it would be the cost, since most of the fine dining restaurants cost considerably more than average restaurants. Another disadvantage is it's often frowned upon to bring small children to fine dining restaurants. So parents with very young children have the additional cost of hiring a babysitter, or else they face getting nasty looks from other patrons of the restaurant.
