How fast is a caiman?

Caimans can reach speeds of up to 20 miles per hour (32 kilometers per hour) when swimming. On land, they are not as fast, typically moving at a speed of around 1-2 miles per hour (1.6-3.2 kilometers per hour). Their agility in water makes them effective predators, while their slower movement on land is primarily for basking or moving short distances.
