Why do police kill animals at the animal control?

Because there are so many animals there that don't have homes that their only choice is to put them to sleep. :(

There aren't enough shelters or adoptive parents for all the animals. Most of the shelters live on donations as well. Some animals have had a rough life and can not be rehabilitated and is dangerous to to people while others are too sick.
