Are pencils recyclable

Pencils should be used till they are too small. They can not be recycled. The wood will gradually biodegrade in compost or landfill.

Don't drop your pencil or use it as a drumstick. The graphite inside can break easily and will come out in small pieces when you sharpen the pencil, making it impossible to use.
