Is Eucalyptus oil an effective tick repellent?

I would think store bought tick replant would be better.

Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus (OLE) is recommended by the EPA and Center for Disease Control as the only plant based ingredient for use as a repellent. Many studies have been conducted and OLE is proven to be as effective as DEET in repelling ticks and mosquitoes.
