Copyright is done through the federal government. Go to copyright.gov and download Form VA. (It means "visual art" not "Veterans Administration.") Fill it out, follow the instructions for submitting the form, send in $45 and they will fix you up.
You might also want to register the logo as a trademark, and you go to uspto.gov for that.
