Where does black rice grow?

Black rice grows at many parts of India, specially in Manipur.

Locally it is known as "Chak Hao" (Tasty Rice). The color may not be totally black but reddish brown. It has a sweet smell and sticky after cooking. Many different varieties of dishes can be prepared from "Chak Hao".
