if for example you have your own computer and the wife and family have use of it, you are the adminisrator in that if you want to protect your children from nasty websites you can set a parental control to stop your children accessing such sites. also you can stop whoever uses your computer downloading programmes you do not wish to be downloaded. basically, you are the boss and say what's what on your computer namely "administator"
