Can you counter the reasons people give for copying software illegally?

Some reasons people might give for copying software illegally and counters to their reasons are:

Oh yeah? Apparently you don't realize it is stealing, just as it is stealing when you walk out of a store without paying for a CD or any other merchandise.

I'm not going to buy it if I can get it free.

You can break into someone's house and get items free, but it is illegal and so is copying software illegally. You are breaking the law and can go to prison if you are caught.

I want the software and I'm not hurting anyone.

Yes, you are! The people who designed the software make their living by selling it. If you get it free you are hurting the person who has the copyright by not paying for it.

and to follow up on the last one, Yeah, but they are rich. They will never miss the money.

Maybe not, but it is still theft and illegal. Is it really worth taking a chance on going to prison to steal something, even if the person you are stealing it from is rich?
