What family is the parrot in?

It really depends on the type of family you have, but if you have kids, I would suggest a parakeet or a cockatiel, but if you have just a couple, then you could get an African grey parrot or a Cockatoo. Also the qualities you want in a bird. Talk to experts and they should happily consider a bird that would fit in perfectly. I have a cockatiel, and he gets along perfectly with my 11-year-old girl.
