Why do wasps bite you?

Because they can create nests in and around a residence, they are both annoying and dangerous. Some species build mass egg nests out of a form of paper, while others build solitary egg cases out of mud. When seeking locations or building nests, they can attack unwary humans and animals. The annoyance is usually caused by their intrusion into homes and businesses while seeking locations. Their stings are seldom fatal, but they can be very painful, as well as being unexpected.
