Why is frog in Chinese called qingwa but not lu wa?

Qing and Lu in Chinese both represent the color of Green in English. I don't know the origin of this name giving story, maybe it is because the former people of china use Qing more frequent than the Word Lu. And in my point of view, Qing sound more poetic( many Chinese poetries use this Word to describe green).
