Eyelash vipers catch their prey primarily through ambush hunting. They rely on their Excellent camouflage, blending into their surroundings, such as foliage, to remain undetected by unsuspecting prey. When a potential meal, like a small mammal or bird, comes close, the viper strikes quickly, using its venomous bite to immobilize the prey before consuming it. Their keen vision and heat-sensing capabilities also help them detect warm-blooded animals nearby.
