WHERE IS THE MALE SNAKES GENITALS?

Male snakes have their reproductive organs, called hemipenes, located inside their bodies. During mating, one of the hemipenes is everted (turned inside out) and inserted into the female's cloaca. Each male snake has a pair of hemipenes, but typically only one is used during copulation.
