Land rover defender clutch pedal problems?

Master cylinder common failure, can be replaced with a cheap trailer brake cylinder.

Master cyliner may just need adjusting, there is an adjustable rod that goes from the top of the pedal into the master cylinder, this is visible if you open the bonnet (hood) and undo the 6 screws that are on top of the clutch pedal box.
