How do you take out the water pump in a 6.2L Chevy diesel?

Set aside a few hours, you need to remove the fan shroud, and remove the pulley belt and fan clutch also. also remove the oil filler neck. Its not like a regular water pump remove and install..

You need to undo all the water pump bolts and then all the bolts on the water pump housing also..the water pump and the water pump housing comes out as one piece. install is the reversal of removal.....can be quite a pig of a job at first plan for lots of cups of coffee.
