Is the common squid poisonous

All squids and octopuses have a venom gland and venomous bite, but the venom is not dangerous to human's in most cases (exception is some species like the blue octopus and if you are allergic). The venom is used to paralyze their prey similar to the way spider catch and eat their prey.
