What are good books to read for a nine year old girl?

A great book I'd recomend is "Out of the Dust" or "The truth about Best friends, horses and my life as a coward" and "The Wedding Planner's Daughter"

Depending on maturness, "The Clique" series is very possible.

Also, Callie's Rules is a fascinating book and of course the American Girl series.
