How did the US react when Guatemalan head if the government gave American owned land in Guatemalan to peasants?

if you had cared to open your american history book, youd know that the cia prepared and trained a special forces army to invade guatamala and force the president to step down. furthermore, the presidents army refused to defend him, and then the leader of said army became the new dictator. oh joy!
