Why is the holistic movement developing?

There are lots of reasons, but I will spell out a few. The holistic movement, especially in America, is significantly cheaper than conventional medicine. A bottle of herbs will usually cost no more than $20, whereas prescription drugs can cost over $100 easily.

After cost, comes general effectiveness. Holistic medicine is about repairing the damage that has been done to the body from the root cause, ensuring that the problem does not arise again. Conventional medicine just treats the symptoms repeatedly, until finally is forced to butcher a person using surgery. Anti-biotics, which are very commonly used in conventional medicine, lowers the bodies immune system so that the individual is likely to become sick again in the future. That is if the person doesn't have unusual side-affects. Herbs and natural treatments do not have dangerous side effects, which adds to their common usage.
