Why won't my battery keep a charge?

When a battery reaches the point where it will not hold a charge, either your alternator is bad, or (much more likely) the battery has reached the end of it's useful life. The only solution is a new battery. Any retailer who will replace your battery while you wait will also be able to check your alternator.
