Is it normal to get your period late on the pill?

Periods while on the BCP usually become lighter and less frequent for most women. They will usually become very regular after a few cycles but the first couple cycles may have spotting or break through bleeding as your body becomes adjusted to the new hormone levels. This is one reason why doctors suggest taking the pill at the same time every day, in addition to making it a habit so you are less likely to forget to take it every day.
