Your turtle is a red eared slider and the shell is more pointy than flat is it a girl?

the shell has nothing to do with gender. the way to find out is to look at it's tail and if it is long then it is a boy...if it is short then it is a girl...oh and if you flip you turtle over and run your finger side to side (not up and down) and if it feels like it goes in like a valley then it is a boy. you see when it is time to mate the male can stable itself on its mate...and when you run your finger across and it is flat then it is a girl...for she needs more room to carry her eggs.
