What can be done to control air pollution?

You can use less cars and consider car pooling and you can use less hair sprays that contain CFCs which is a type of gas that is bad for the atmosphere.

Drop engine sizes on cars - vehicle pollution from large cars is high on the pollution scale. Some countries (UK for one) have changed their taxing policy so that large gas guzzlers have a far higher tax than the economy cars.

Reduce power consumption in domestic buildings. Many people are unaware that it takes in excess of 1 kilowatt of electricity to deliver 1 kilowatt of customer used electricity.

Industries to use air filtration systems on their exhaust processes. - Many manufacturing industries do not employ carbon filtration when they burn/heat materiel's for manufacture.

Cut food product waste. The waste produced by most homes in disposed of in land fill which, when the rotting process starts produces methane which causes air pollution. Stop the destruction of rain forest areas across the world. Trees can absorb many of the gases that are harmful and in turn as part of their growth create oxygen.

Reduce material waste and recycle. The energy used to take virgin materials to their final product type can be cut considerately by introducing 80% recycled and only 20% virgin materials.

Ensure that ALL countries of the world act responsibility. There are some that as yet do not take as many measures as they could.
