What is an Argo?

An Argo typically refers to a type of unmanned underwater vehicle used for oceanographic research, known as an Argo float. These floats collect data on temperature, salinity, and currents throughout the world’s oceans, contributing to our understanding of climate change and marine ecosystems. Alternatively, "Argo" may also refer to the ancient Greek ship in mythology, famously associated with Jason and the Argonauts on their quest for the Golden Fleece.
